Lagardère Travel Retail Pacific is a dedicated travel retailer of cultural and leisure products.  Representing the global Lagardère Travel Retail group in the Pacific region, we operate Duty Free, Travel Essentials and Food & Beverage retail outlets across the Australia, New Zealand and Noumea, predominantly in major airports and commuter terminals. Today, Lagardère Travel Retail continues to grow and expand its portfolio of brands, keeping pace with this ever changing and diverse environment.

The opportunity:

Working as part of a broader management team, the Supply Chain Director is responsible for ensuring overall performance targets are achieved in relation to safety, profit contribution, quality, cost control; and compliance with regulations pertaining to a customs’ controlled / bonded warehouse environment.

We have a unique opportunity for an experienced individual to oversee the supply chain network of our busy and fast paced travel retail business across Australia, New Zealand and Noumea. This senior position requires strong leadership; and outstanding communication and influencing skills with a robust, commercially focused approach to optimise the business’ supply chain network.

Role requirements:

In addition to 5 or more years’ operating at senior management level in Supply Chain, Inventory Management and Warehousing, you will have extensive experience in:

  • ERP systems; specifically SAP and Navision
  • Implementing and maintaining warehouse management systems
  • Wholesale and exports (duty free experience would be highly regarded)
  • Management of bonded warehouses and excise goods
  • Managing logistics and storage of dangerous/fragile goods (Alcohol, perfume and cosmetics etc.)
  • Logistics and airfreight

The successful candidate will exhibit an aptitude for building enduring, value added partnerships with our landlords and suppliers; and ideally have exposure to working within a global company. As Noumea is part of our Pacific operation, fluency speaking French at a business level is essential.
